Role Overview:
This is a high-energy, hospitality-driven role. You are not only a key face of the club, you are a hands-on operator. Your day is a mix of high-level member engagement and the essential grit of running a premium venue: making a great coffees, managing spaces to be cleaned and reset, and physical event setups.
Core Responsibilities
- Foundation Hospitality: Provide "Unreasonable Hospitality" by greeting members and guests, making high-quality coffee consistently, and staying on top of dishes and cleaning to keep the space pristine.
- Environment Management: Own the club’s atmosphere by constantly monitoring and adjusting how the space is enjoyed by our members at the time.
- Active Event Support: We run 300+ events per year, many of which are in-venue. You’ll be involved in setting up furniture, basic AV, working the bar, and packing down after hours.
- Member Connection: Build genuine relationships with our memberbase to foster a sense of belonging and drive value back to the community.
- Daily Ops: Manage the host desk, handle check-ins, room bookings, and basic admin via our member platform.
Key Requirements
- Hospo Pro: 2+ years of experience in fast-paced cafe/bar environments. You must be confident on a coffee machine and comfortable with the physical nature of hospitality work.
- Commitment: Plans to live in Queenstown for at least 6 months and has own reliable transport.
- Communication: Ability to pivot from washing dishes to having a high-level conversation with a business leader without missing a beat.
