Join us for a hands-on workshop that celebrates connection - to people, culture, and our environment. In collaboration with Te Kākano Aotearoa Trust, this Interwoven session invites members to learn the art and intention behind traditional harakeke (flax) weaving.

Together, we’ll explore how to harvest harakeke respectfully and use it to create simple, functional plant guards that protect native seedlings. Beyond the craft itself, the experience is about weaving community - understanding the deep relationship between our natural environment and the people who care for it. No previous experience or equipment is required, just curiosity, open hands, and a willingness to connect.

Meet at MC Five Mile to walk across to the Craig's Investment office where the workshop will be taking place.
