James has spent over two decades behind the drums and decks. Prior to relocating to Queenstown in 2020, he toured internationally as live drummer and DJ for UK electronic music duo The Slips (EMI Records), collaborating with artists including Björk, Kylie Minogue, Gotye and LCD Soundsystem. He regularly performs with the likes of Sweet Mix Kids, Luke Gajdus and Burning Man’s Ambient Musician Collective. Outside of music, he works with international creative studio, Universal Favourite.

A former music presenter and stage host for Fuzzy TV, James has worked with artists including Calvin Harris, Example, Digitalism and Kimbra, while covering major Australian festivals including Parklife and Field Day.
