Mick Druett knows wine. With over 30 years in the industry, training under a Master Sommelier, and a base in Central Otago, Mick is on first-name terms with the producers behind some of the world’s most exceptional wines - and occasionally even lends a hand in the vineyards.
For this special tasting at MC Beach St, Mick is bringing five extraordinary bottles, all sourced directly from the producer:
- Destiny Bay Magna Praemia vintages 2012 and 2013 (retailing north of $1,900 per bottle)
- A vertical trio of Valli Gibbston Pinot Noir, spanning 2015–2017
This is not a stuffy tasting. Mick will pour and share insights as you go - dive deep into the detail if you’re keen, or simply enjoy great wine and good company if that’s more your speed.
