Join us for a night of comedy, conversation, and connection as five Kiwi comedy legends reunite on stage in Queenstown for a special live recording of Funny How Things Turn Out.

This isn’t just a podcast - it’s a celebration of lifelong friendships, the unpredictable turns of life, and the power of laughter to carry us through it all. From wild 90s gigs to comeback stories and heartfelt reflections, expect big laughs, nostalgic tales, and surprising truths that only come with time (and good humour).

But there’s more behind the laughter. This live podcast is raising awareness and support for the Malaghan Institute’s groundbreaking cancer research - reminding us that joy, resilience, and purpose go hand in hand.

Comedians: Jeremy Corbett, Michèle A’Court, Emma Lange, and David Downs
Host: Paddy Kluts

What to Expect:

  • Comedy Gold: Stories from the early days of Kiwi stand-up and the unforgettable gigs that shaped a generation of laughs.
  • Real Talk: Honest reflections on life’s twists, big changes, and why laughter matters most in tough times.
  • Behind-the-scenes banter as the comedians share what it’s like stepping back on stage after years away.
  • A powerful conversation on why supporting research and giving back truly matters.

Come for the laughs, stay for the purpose - and be part of a one-night-only event that blends comedy with meaning.

60–75 minutes (live recording) || $20 recommended cash donation on the door to support Malaghan's Institute of Medical Research.
